Saturday Kitchen viewers concerned by coronavirus precautions: ‘Is this really live?’

Saturday Kitchen was back on BBC One today, with host Matt Tebbutt, 46, at the helm to oversee proceedings on the show. Amongst the segments on the programme, guests chefs were welcomed to prepare some of their dishes and share the food with the other members of the panel. However, given the increasing spread of coronavirus, viewers were unsure as to whether the stars of the weekend cookery show should be eating from the same plate.

The current Government advice on the coronavirus is for people to ensure they wash their hands and take caution with regards to social distancing.

During the first 20 minutes of this morning’s instalment, chef Brad Carter prepared a beef dish for Matt and fellow guests including actress Amanda Redman, 62, and Ryan Riley.

After giving a demonstration, the cook served up his efforts to the panel, with the pair sat at the table going on to share a plate of food.

Neither one of them shared the same cutlery, but the fact they were eating from the same plate caused concern amongst viewers.
