Spoilers: David takes bloody revenge on Corrie rapist Josh?
David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) is about to come face to face with his rapist Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton) in prison and a showdown will inevitably follow. But when David realises that the Coronation Street villain has been jailed for a further sexual assault, will he snap and take a violent revenge? Could he go as far as killing his enemy?
After police didn’t feel they had sufficient evidence to charge Josh for his attack on David, he ended up taking the law into his own hands and driving him out of town. But it appears that Josh has gone on to strike again as David is stunned to see him in the same prison he is being held in.
Heading to the medical wing to pick up his medication, David is horrified to see Josh being treated and briefly locks eyes with him beofre retreating back to his cell, his mind racing. Abe reveals to David that Josh is inside for drugging and raping someone and the memories of his ordeal return, along with the anger and injustice.
David tells Abe that Josh did exactly the same to him but will Abe encourage him to take revenge? It has previously been reported that David may take the opportunity when Josh is stabbed during a prison riot.
But is David really capable of taking such a violent action and risking his entire future and family life? Or is someone else responsible for the attack?
It’s not the only thing that is getting to David in coming episodes either as Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) is forced to admit to him that Callum Logan’s mum Marion is fighting for custody of Max.
Max has been spending time getting to know Marion and, after a showdown with Shona, the gran launches legal proceedings.
With the prospect of losing Max, will this make David more likely to lash out at Josh?
One to watch: Friday 18th October at 8:30pm on ITV.
