‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 to Feature 4 New Characters and Time Travel
Fans also assume that the time travel will explain how Jim Hopper (David Harbour) will return to the show even though he appeared to meet his demise at the end of season 3.
AceShowbiz -Fans are in for a treat when “Stranger Things” returns for a season 4. A new report suggests that the forthcoming season of the hit Netflix sci-fi series will have something new for fans, including four new characters.
Sources reveal to TVLine that the new season will feature four new male recurring characters. They reportedly consist of three teenagers and one adult. It is said that the Millie Bobby Brown-starring series is looking for a trio that will include a “metalhead to an entitled jock to a character that sounds an awful lot like the twin of ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’ stoner Jeff Spicoli.”
Meanwhile, the adult character is described as someone who possesses characteristics which will become a focal point in the new season. He may be involved with the Russian prison storyline teased at the end of season 3.
That isn’t all since season 4 allegedly will introduce time travel. Further fueling the rumors was a post by the writers of “Stranger Things”. They appeared to make a reference to the very first episode in which the words, “November 6th, 1983 Hawkins, Indiana,” were shown on the screen. Fans also assume that the time travel will explain how Jim Hopper (David Harbour) will return to the show.
The character appeared to meet his demise after he sacrificed himself in order to save the town of Hawkins. Of his character’s fate, Harbour previously said during an appearance on U.S. show “Late Night With Seth Meyers“, “I always knew that Hopper had to make a sacrifice. He’s a jerk and he needs to pay for that in some way, so, I thought he’d make the sacrifice and then the script came out and… at the end, (in) the post-credits scene there’s ‘the American’, and I’m like, ‘Oh, clearly I’m the American…!’ And then, I haven’t gotten many phone calls.”
