Strictly crew feeling awkward as pro couple cant keep hands off each other

The Strictly Come Dancing crew has reportedly been left feeling "awkward" due to pro couple Kai Widdrington and Nadiya Bychkova's passionate PDA backstage.

The dancing duo have been dating for almost two years after growing close during the 2021 series of the show – and it's reported they're not shy when it comes to public displays of attention.

And it's reported that their PDA during the filming of Saturday night's (September 16) pre-recorded pairings show left those working on the show feeling awkward.

The show was filmed at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire, where Nadiya, 34, and Kai, 28, were reportedly cuddling and kissing between filming.

A source claimed to The Sun: "Nadiya and Kai were all over each other during filming and could barely keep their hands off each other.

"They were making a real spectacle of their relationship and didn't seem to care who was watching."

The source claimed that they were making it obvious that they were a couple and were sharing kisses in between takes.

They added: "It was over the top and awkward for everyone around them."

A representative for Strictly had no comment when contacted by Daily Star.

Kai and Nadiya are far from the first pro duo to be in a relationship during filming of the show.

In fact, a number of pros have been married over the years, including the likes of Aljaz Skorjanec and Janette Manrara, Kevin Clifton and Karen Hauer (now divorced), Katya and Neil Jones (now divorced), and James and Ola Jordan.

Nadiya was not given a celebrity partner this year, while Kai was paired with Strictly's oldest ever contestant Angela Rippon, 78.

The other pairings are: Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk, Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice, Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu, Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, Eddie Kadi and Karen Hauer, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, Jody Cundy and Jowita Przystał, Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Lauren Oakley, Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, Les Dennis and Nancy Xu, Nigel Harman and Katya Jones, Nikita Kanda and Gorka Márquez, and Zara McDermott and Graziano Di Prima.

Strictly continues with its first live show on Saturday, September 23 on BBC One
