Nadiya said: “I just wanted to encourage you all today because that is what you have done for me over the weekend. This is going to be a brilliant series of Strictly. I hope you all enjoy it and I’m looking forward to being part of the biggest show on TV.”

The Strictly star continued: “Life doesn’t always go the way we want it to but the people we come across can make a big difference to our perspective, our mindset and the way we face the next day. Your kindness, love and care has really lifted my spirit and my soul so ‘THANK YOU’ from the bottom of my heart”.

The Ukrainian originally joined the show's cast of ballroom professionals back in 2017, partnering up with broadcaster Dan Walker, football legend David James, popstars Matt Goss and Lee Ryan, and EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami over the years.

The show revealed the dance pairings on Saturday night’s episode where Strictly Come Dancing bosses reportedly try to match the professional dancers with the celebrities they think will have the most chemistry.

A source claimed to MailOnline that Nadiya didn’t hsve any chemistry with the male contestant. The source said: “Nadiya was very surprised when she learned she would merely be part of the wider dance troupe. She felt like she had done well since she joined the show so it was a shock. She wanted answers so she held several meetings with the bosses so she could get some answers. She is accepting it now.

“There was no chemistry between Ms Bychkova and the male contestants”.
