Hisham Tawfiq is best known for his main role as Dembe Zuma, bodyguard to Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington (played by James Spader), in all nine seasons of The Blacklist. With filming for the 10th season of the hit NBC drama currently underway, Hisham has taken to Instagram with an exciting update for the show’s most devoted viewers.
Dembe star Hisham and The Blacklist’s core cast and crew have celebrated the completion of the show’s 200th episode.
The episode is set to air as part of the 10th season, and serves as a good indication of how filming is going on the next instalment.
Hisham wrote in his Instagram post: “Celebrating the 200th episode of The Blacklist!
“Humbled and Honored to be on this journey. Thank you all for watching and the continued support.”
His post features main cast members James, Diego Klattenhoff, Harry Lennix and newcomer Anya Banerjee.
Anya was confirmed to be joining the fold earlier this year as Siya Malik, the daughter of season one regular Meera Malik (Parminder Nagra).
Hisham’s update featured several members of the show’s crew celebrating the milestone with “200 episodes” banners and a huge Blacklist-themed cake.
Amir Arison, who until recently portrayed long-running agent Aram Mojtabai, was also in attendance and teased a potential return following his stint on Broadway.

Over on Hisham’s post, @angiem2015 said: “Congratulations #TheBlacklist here’s to 200 episodes more!”
@gil_tucker_ replied: “Congratulations Tawfiq!!! I’m honestly happy and proud of you! Continued blessings, you deserve it, my friend!”
“Congratulations, been watching since the very first episode,” @torres7618sbcglobalnet said.
And gramsroro0225 exclaimed: “Congrats! Excitedly awaiting the new season!” (sic)
Episode 200 will be the fourth episode of the new outing, so filming still has a way to go before fans are able to get their hands on the 10th season of The Blacklist.
However, production will also take place concurrently with the show’s broadcast, so it shouldn’t be too long before NBC confirms a date for the highly anticipated season premiere.
The Blacklist seasons 1-9 are available to watch on NBC in the USA and Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
