'The Bold and the Beautiful' Fans Want Brooke and Hope to Stop Blaming Steffy For Liam's Cheating
The beloved genre of American soap opera inspires a large amount of opinionated fan discussion. Shows like The Bold and the Beautiful are full of devastating emotional highs and lows, especially where romance is involved.
Two of the most frequently and fervently discussed soap opera stars are Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). To say that the couple has had a roller-coaster of a relationship is an understatement. Liam and Steffy’s love has caused misery for themselves and others, including Hope Logan (Annika Noelle/Kim Matula) and her mother Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).
The two characters, who have had long-standing issues with the Forresters for many years, have chosen to blame Steffy for the anger and heartache Hope has felt.
While Steffy is not faultless, fans have pointed their collective finger at Liam.
Why did Liam and Steffy cheat on Hope and Finn?
Liam and Steffy have a long and twisted history together, including multiple occasions of the two cheating with and on one another. Recently, Steffy was involved with Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), a compassionate doctor who quickly became a fan favorite.
Many fans encouraged Steffy and Finn’s relationship, partially because Finn showed real affection for Steffy, and partially because it would keep Liam away. Unfortunately, Liam could not leave Steffy and Finn alone and did everything in his power to once again be reunited with Steffy. To further complicate the pair’s love story, Steffy has been romantically linked to multiple members of Liam’s family, the Spencers.
In total, Steffy has been with Liam, Bill Jr. (Don Diamont), and Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks). Relationships are complicated, but adding in multiple cheating scandals and family dynamics has caused this love triangle to new heights.
Why do Hope and Brooke blame Steffy
Hope and Steffy have competed for years and have become fierce rivals. Even before the two fought over Liam’s love, they had feelings for the same man, Oliver Jones (Zach Conroy).
The rivalry exploded when Liam and Hope were engaged for the first time. Eventually, Hope broke her engagement to Liam because she could not handle Liam being with her but showing interest in Steffy. After Hope ended the engagement, Liam added fuel to the fire by proposing to Steffy. Liam’s inability to decide clearly hurt both women, who became even more enraged at one another over the years.
Liam and Steffy were divorced sometime later, but the three were always connected. Liam has always had a difficult time choosing between the women, which has caused the tensions between Hope and Steffy to continually rise.
Besides her issues with Steffy, Brooke has a deeper and most historical reason for hating the daughter of Dr. Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) and Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss/Thorsten Kaye). Much like her daughter, Hope has long been embroiled in a feud with Brooke and Ridge.
The rivalry between Brooke and Hunter has been passed down to their daughters, and the two stepsisters will likely continue the feud for many years to come.
Fans say that the Logan women should blame Liam not Steffy
The love triangle between Hope-Liam-Steffy has been a major topic of conversation among The Bold and the Beautiful fans for many years.
The recent actions of Liam and Steffy have caused years of memories featuring both passionate love and betrayal to resurface. Some fans have grown tired of the love-triangle storyline that dominates soap opera, especially one that has been as destructive as this.
Steffy and Liam have been married several times, and have suffered a miscarriage at one time. It is clear that Liam has a hold over Steffy and one that fans believe he should let go of. These fans also feel sympathy for Hope, who has also been hurt too many times by Liam’s actions.
For now, Liam and Steffy are together, but past trauma and Liam’s inability to stay faithful could see Liam return to Hope, or hurt both women in a completely new way.
