The Chase viewers seriously distracted by 'soap star lookalike' contestant – but can you guess who?
THE Chase viewers were left scratching their heads after a contestant on the show bore striking similarities to a soap favourite.
Tuesday evening's episode of the ITV quiz show saw Toby, Becca, Sophia and Neil join forces to take on one of the country's finest brains – and one of them soon stole the show.
As the new contestants took on Jenny Ryan, viewers were soon distracted by hopeful Sophia.
And many noticed her "uncanny resemblance" to Emmerdale's Sarah Sugden, played by Katie Hill.
Immediately, those watching at home took to Twitter to compare the clinical scientist from Liverpool to her soap doppelgänger.
Alongside an array of shocked-faced emojis, one person penned: "Oh my word. Sophia looks just like Sarah Sugden from Emmerdale."

Replying to their tweet, someone else commented: "She does! That's a great shout. I can barely tell them apart."
While a third remarked: "Is it just me or does Sophia look like Sarah Sugden from Emmerdale?"
Sophia and her fellow contestants racked up £20k for their prize pot, but were beaten to the punch by The Vixen with just 13 seconds remaining.
It's not the first time that someone on the show has been likened to a familiar face on the box.
Earlier this year, fans were left open-mouthed after a contestant bore striking similarities to a rather famous Netflix star.

With her spectacles and perfectly styled hair on show, viewers were soon in unison that contestant Laura looked like Anna Delvey from Inventing Anna.
Taken aback by their likeness, someone said: "I didn't realise I was watching Inventing Anna!"
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
