Things Get Awkward on WWHL as Kenya Moore and Quad Webb Hash Out Their Beef on Camera

Andy puts them on the spot, saying viewers want to know why Kenya was being “so shady” to his fellow guest.

It’s almost impossible for Kenya Moore to stop by the Bravo Clubhouse and not make for a thoroughly entertaining interview.

The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star was joined by Quad Webb of "Married to Medicine" on Sunday’s "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen." And after Andy played a cringe-worthy "RHOA" preview of Kenya’s now-estranged husband defending her enemy, NeNe Leakes, some beef between Cohen’s guests bubbled to the surface — and they got into it on camera.

In the sneak peek, Kenya and Marc Daly went on a triple date with Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey and their respective significant others. At the table, Marc brought up NeNe.

"I care about people that matter in my life. My kids, I care about my family. Even people say NeNe blah blah blah. NeNe was nice to me the first time I met all of you," he said to the group. Kenya interrupted to "remind" Marc that he was "very offended" when NeNe made fun of Kenya when she was carrying their child, wondering if she was "pregnant with a buffalo."

"It’s an inappropriate comment, but then she reached out to you after and tried to apologize," Marc noted, to which Kenya said: "No, she actually didn’t."

"I don’t have a problem with the woman. The woman’s very nice," Marc continued. Kenya was in disbelief, as was Kandi, who later told the camera, "Why are you going on with this? You’re supposed to have your wife’s back, not NeNe’s back. Like, you’re doing too much right now."

Before Andy could even ask Kenya about her reaction to the footage, a curious Quad swooped in. "So Kenya, how does that make you feel when you see that your husband doesn’t have your back?" she asked. "And actually, you know, you guys are one. You’re a unit."

Kenya glared at Quad while she finished asking the question, then simply replied, "Well, I’m gonna let Andy ask the question." Quickly, Cohen jumped in to say he was going to ask the same thing.

Eventually, Kenya explained to Andy, "I feel like, you know, it’s difficult to watch. I think your man — whether he’s your husband, your man, whomever — should have your back no matter what. And just ’cause someone was nice to you and they’re not nice to your wife, really means you shouldn’t like them, too. You should have a united front."

Andy accepted the answer and then nervously re-explained that he and Quad were asking the same question. Quad jumped in to reiterate. "Well, that’s okay, but he’s the host," Moore said as she looked over at Webb. Quad then made a comment about how Kenya would only answer her questions on Webb’s "Sister Circle" talk show, which also seemed to spark some contention. "That’s true. I love ‘Sister Circle,’" Kenya said, as Quad smiled and replied, "Yeah, of course you do." With an even bigger smile, Kenya added, "It’s a cute show."

Cut to later in the episode, when Andy said, "We’re getting a lot of tweets from people, saying, ‘Kenya, why were you being so shady to Quad earlier in the show, not letting her ask the question earlier?’"

"Well, that’s gonna take too long for me to answer," Kenya replied, as Quad urged her to answer anyway. "You’re very smart. You could just sum it up real quick. Just give the people two words," Webb pushed. "It doesn’t matter what it is! Give it to ’em!"

Letting out a nervous laugh, Kenya replied, "History." Andy was eating it up. "Oh, do you two have history?" he asked, sitting on the edge of his seat. Quad didn’t seem to know what Kenya was referring to. "She has a little bit of shady history towards me," Kenya explained. Suddenly, Quad had a vague idea of the situation. "Do I?" she asked. "I thought you said something in favor of my ex-husband once before. I thought I seen that."

"Oh, I love him! Is that a bad thing?" Kenya replied. "He’s a nice guy! In my opinion. Now, I can’t speak to how he treated you ’cause that’s separate." Quad noted, "You cannot. Just like I can’t speak to what’s going on with your marriage right now. I can’t."

"Exactly. That’s true. But I really thought that, when I first met her," Kenya said, turning back to face Andy, as Quad noted it was on the BET red carpet. "And I was very sweet to you," Kenya maintained. Quad said, "I was very sweet to you as well."

"And then she was on [‘WWHL’] with Shereé [Whitfield], and then she was saying some shady stuff," Kenya added. "Run the tape back."

"Well, if you remember so much then go ahead and refresh my memory," Quad insisted, but Kenya said she only remembered "some lightweight stuff."

"Well, you’re still holding onto it many years later," Quad said. "I don’t recall. I always liked you. I did. So tell me exactly what was said." Kenya was surprised to hear that Quad said she liked her, then reiterated that they "don’t have to get into it now. It’s a live show, right?"

"Yeah, it is!" an uncomfortable Andy interjected, but Quad insisted she’d "love to get into it live. The viewers are asking!"

Kenya simply said, "We’ve answered."

During the "After Show," Andy notified the ladies and the audience that his producers went back and found the episode where Quad appeared alongside Shereé. "It was the episode where Shereé said something really kind of — that [Kenya] took great offense to — about [her] mom. And was what you were upset about is that Quad was there and kind of laughing along with Shereé? Is that what it was?"

"Yeah, I think it was about my mom not answering the door or something like that, and she went along with it," Kenya explained, as Quad interjected, "To this day, I still did not like that she did not answer the door. And I’m not in your relationship. I think you’re a beautiful person, I do. And I think you deserve love. I did not like that she didn’t open the door."

"You threw some shade, and before that, I was always nice to you. That was my point," Kenya replied. Quad begged producers to play the footage, but Andy explained they were simply scrubbing through it in the back.

"Listen, she’s telling me that she feels offended by it. I receive what she’s saying," Quad said, as Kenya tried to interject. "Listen what I’m saying to you," Quad demanded. "I receive it. I receive it. And I receive that it probably wasn’t a good place for me to say or you felt a certain type of way about it. I’m not gonna say how you should’ve felt. I can’t control that, but I can apologize for it, okay?"

Kenya nodded and said, "Thank you. I appreciate that."
