This Morning viewers switch off during Grease the Musical performance
This Morning: Grease Musical cast get interviewed on show
This Morning viewers were treated to a mega-mix style performance from the cast of Grease the Musical but were left switching off after the “shrieking”.
Introducing them to the show, Dermot excitedly said: “Welcome back, we have ventured outside.”
Alison added: “For years it has been the one that we have wanted back, in the West End hasn’t it?
“I will tell you more, now your Summer Nights could include a trip to see the brand new stage show production of Grease in London.
Dermot continued: “And we have got a treat for you, without further ado, performing a mega-mix of songs from the show, it’s the cast of Grease.”

However, as the cast danced around the outside of the ITV studios, viewers were left uneasy and disappointed in the performance.
Taking to Twitter, user @LauLau1984 asked: “Grease was set in a high school…. Why are the cast so old!? #thismorning.”
Taylor Crane fumed: “Had to switch off the shrieking on the TV… Musicals need to stay theatre and not live tv…”
@Itt39354118 commented: “Sandy was blonde… #thismorning.”

Garry Enfield added: “Grease the musical, oh god. #ThisMorning.”
@beetlegirl6 penned: “Well I won’t pay to watch that production of Grease..#thismorning.”
@SenorApple2014 noted: “My ears can’t handle this, my eyes can’t handle this, I must put a stop to it. #ThisMorning.” (sic)
However, not all viewers were left disappointed with the performance as Sally Janson praised: “Wow! Such talent in them all. Will defo be looking to get some tickets!” (sic)
Speaking to the cast after the performance, Dan Partridge who plays Danny said: “It has been amazing, hasn’t it?
“I think it is great, when people come into the theatre we know they’re going to enjoy it before we event start so.”
Olivia Moore who plays Sandy added: “The heart of the film is in our production, but we felt it was imperative to challenge traditions and stereotypes.
“We wanted our production to reflect the world that we live in right now, so we have same-sex couples, we have a diverse cast which really empowers women.
“I am so proud to be part of this production.”
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
