This Morning’s Holly and Phil speechless as ghost interrupts live interview
This Morning 's Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left speechless on Tuesday as they were convinced a ghost interrupted their interview.
The dynamic duo chatted to psychic Amethyst Realm about her recent split from her "ghost" fiancé Ray after he started bringing random spirits back to the house.
As Holly and Phillip grilled Amethyst about her decision to leave Ray, the video link connection was suddenly disrupted.
Host Holly, 39, gasped: "Oh my gosh, It's Ray."
Things took another spooky turn as there was a loud noise heard in the studio.
Presenter Phillip, 57, said: "Are you joking" as he turned around and spotted Alison Hammond who had accidentally knocked over an ornament on set.
Amethyst's video call was eventually reconnected and she continued to open up about her decision to put her wedding to Ray on hold.
Speaking about the split, Amethyst said: "He fell in with a bad crowd when we were on holiday in Thailand..
"He would go out and bring other spirits to the house and they were very noisy."
"I think he got into drink and drugs."
Amethyst went on to reveal that she would be open to find romance with ghost in the future but she's happily single at the moment.
Viewers at home rushed to their keyboards to praise Holly and Phillip for keeping professional during the interview.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "How do Holly and Phillip keep a straight face with people who claim they're cancelling their engagement to a ghost because they fell into a bad crowd?"
Another added: "So, erm, some woman on This Morning has called off her wedding to her ghost lover."
A third posted: "Phil and Holly doing a fab job not bursting out laughing."
A fourth said: "This Ghost split interview sums up 2020."
Amethyst and Ray got engaged in 2018 after meeting in Australia at the beginning of the year.
