To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You’s Lara Jean actress admits breaking down in tears after love triangle filming

TO All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You’s Lara Jean actress has admitted breaking down in tears after filming the film's love triangle.

The sequel to the hit 2018  Netflix teen drama will premiere next week and sees Lara Jean torn between boyfriend Peter Kavinsky or former crush John Ambrose.

While the second film in the trilogy is yet to be seen, the cast have already wrapped on the third and final movie, leading to an emotional moment on set for actress Lana Condor, who plays Lara Jean.

Speaking to Variety, she said: "Lara Jean has given me so much and I’ve learned so much from her; she’s opened up so many doors for me.

"The last day on set I was so sad, angry and upset. It was rough.”

Her co-star Noah Centineo, who plays Peter, added jokingly: "It was a lot of Lana crying behind a pillar."

The first film ended with Lara Jean and Peter falling in love for real after faking a relationship in front of their peers.

But in the sequel, Lara Jean's old friend John (Jordan Fisher) returns, and having been the recipient of one of her love letters, sparks soon fly between them.

Author and executive producer Jenny Han told Variety: "I think John offers something different than Peter does.

"John has a more quiet confidence and is more cerebral, whereas Peter is much more face forward and what you see is what you get.”

So who will Lara Jean choose? Viewers will have to wait and see, but Jenny added to Entertainment Weekly: "This film is the part of the story that you don’t often get to see in movies, which is what happens after the couple gets together.

“P.S. I Still Love You is about the reality of really loving somebody and not just falling in love with somebody."

Meanwhile Lana teased: "John Ambrose has that friendship and the history, but Peter lights her up. They’re just good guys.”

To All The Boys: P.S. I Love You premieres on Netflix on Wednesday, February 12.
