When does Shona actress Julia Goulding leave Coronation Street?
Christmas turned deadly last night on Coronation Street after a drunk and violent Derek Milligan (Craige Els) stormed the Rovers armed with a shotgun, trying to hunt down Gary Windass (Mikey North).
Two characters ended up dead and two injured in the crossfire as the Weatherfield locals saw the chaos unfold around them.
Even though Boxing Day is here and the siege at the Rovers ended with Derek’s death, Shona (Julia Goulding) was shot in scenes last night and her ordeal isn’t over yet…
When does Shona actress Julia Goulding leave Coronation Street?
Shona was one of those hurt in the gunfire last night, but at first it seemed that her injuries, while scary, were not serious.
In upcoming scenes however, she’s set to take a turn for the worse and collapse in her love David Platt’s (Jack P. Shepherd) arms.
With actor Julia Goulding on maternity leave, having filmed her last scenes in November, it’s known that Shona will be taking her leave of the cobbles soon.
But exactly when and for how long, we don’t yet know…
Earlier this month, Julia confirmed the birth of her son Franklin Wolf Silver in a heartfelt Instagram caption.
She wrote: ‘Franklin Wolf Silver born on 30/11/19. He’s changed our lives for the better in every way. I feel like I’ve known him my whole life.’
When first announcing her pregnancy back in May, Julia wrote that she and her husband were ‘delighted to announce that we are expecting our first baby at the end of this year! We are absolutely overjoyed and can’t wait to meet our little one!’
Coronation Street is on tonight on ITV at 8pm.
