Where Do Jessa Duggar And Ben Seewald Live And How Big Is Their House?
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald tied the knot in a huge wedding in November 2014 and they went on to create a happy, love-filled home together. People who have followed the Duggar family over the years that 19 Kids and Counting as well as Counting On aired on TLC are probably familiar with the home where Jessa, Ben, and their kids live. It’s definitely quaint, but they’ve done quite a bit to make it their own.
The couple chose to stay close to where Jessa grew up, at least for now. That’s in contrast to some of Jessa’s siblings who decided to spread their wings a bit. For example, little sister Jinger Duggar moved to California with her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, to raise their kids (via Cafe Mom). Sister Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, built a home of their own in another spot in Arkansas, and little sister Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband, Austin Forsyth, stayed not far away in state as well.
Jessa Duggar's sentimental about her small home
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald’s house is near her parents’ Arkansas home (via InTouch Weekly). While it’s the first home they bought, Jessa’s brother Josh Duggar and his wife Anna lived there previously.
Before Jessa and Ben moved in, the Duggars did some major kitchen updates, detailed a clip on TLC’s YouTube page. In addition, the family painted walls, updated the fireplace, and refinished the wood floors. In March 2019, Jessa shared via Instagram she’d redone the master bedroom too.
Despite the updates, their house is quite small. According to Cheat Sheet, it’s about 1,000 square feet with two bedrooms and one bathroom.
“People will ask me, when are y’all going to move to a bigger house and aren’t you feeling cramped?” Jessa noted in a February 2020 YouTube video.
Jessa showed that the boys shared a bedroom that also served as Ben’s office. The family made it work with three kids, but it might be tough with a fourth.
“I feel like our house is still a pretty good fit and pretty good size for the five of us. The kids are still so young that we can make it work pretty easily. Also, I think I’m just really sentimental… I just love our house. This is where so many of our firsts have happened,” Jessa detailed.
Jessa and Ben may have felt sentimental about their small Arkansas home, but Counting On fans have suspected a move might be on the horizon.
