The Morning Show made its debut back in November 2019 and season two has just arrived on Apple TV. The series took inspiration from the book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV by Brian Stelter. Viewers over in the UK are keen to know if there are any other ways to watch the series.
Where to watch The Morning Show
The Morning Show has since reached a global audience and has become known as Morning Wars in countries like Australia and Indonesia.
The American drama follows Alex Levy (played by Jennifer Aniston), who is co-host of the network UBA’s The Morning Show.
Her former co-host was fired, paving the way for a new recruit and local news reporter Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) steps up.
There is a rivalry between the two characters as Alex fights to retain her place at the top of the pecking order.
Back in November 2017, it was announced that Apple had given the production a series order of two seasons.
Sadly for fans hoping to catch the series elsewhere, it is only available to watch on Apple TV+.
The streaming platform is available through Apple’s website as well as through Apple’s TV app, which is available on most Apple devices.
Viewers can subscribe to the service for £4.99 a month in the UK and $4.99 a month in the US.
There is a seven-day free trial before the subscription cost starts kicking in.
For those who buy an eligible Apple device, they will get a three-month free subscription.
The platform features many Apple originals such as the upcoming Foundation and The Problem With Jon Stewart.
The Morning Show features alongside other top dramas such as See and Defending Jacob and comedies like Ted Lasso.
This could be the last chance fans of Aniston and Witherspoon will get to see The Morning Show, as it could possibly end after season two.
The initial series order was for 20 episodes, to be spread across two separate outings.
Unless the order is renewed, this season could mark the show’s official end.
The acting duo have been taking part in interviews across the globe ahead of the season two launch.
They experienced some awkward moments along the way, particularly during an interview on This Morning with Josie Gibson.
The pair had spoken about the relationship between Alex and Bradley and Josie asked Aniston if she was “a hugger”.
But Aniston, who misinterpreted the question, thought she was being asked if she was “a hooker”.
Gibson was mortified, but everyone laughed it off and Witherspoon went on to say how she loved Josie’s Bristolian accent.
Aniston is on Instagram and she shared the trailer for the new season of the Apple Original, saying: “So proud of this whole team and counting down the days until you can see the new season for yourself.”
Witherspoon shared the same trailer on her social media profile saying: “The news you love… with a little more drama.”
Fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, with @anistonily saying: “I don’t know what’s more impressive, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon’s acting or the fact that there was not one profanity said.”
Scott Menzel added: “I know I’m late to the party but holy s***, The Morning Show is such a great series.
“This show is ballsy. The writing is top-notch with probably the best performance that I’ve ever seen from Jennifer Aniston. Also, Billy Crudup is freaking phenomenal in this.”
