Following on from the phenomenal success of Money Heist last month, creator Álex Pina has another Netflix series for audiences to get stuck into. British-Spanish series White Lines will be making its debut on Netflix today (Friday, May 14) with 10 hour-long episodes dropping on one go. Express.co.uk takes a look at the filming locations and settings for White Lines.
Where is White Lines set?
White Lines follows Zoe (played by Laura Haddock), who heads to the sun-drenched island of Ibiza in a bid to solve her brother’s death 20 years earlier.
Zoe’s brother was working as a DJ in the clubbing central of Europe in the 90s when he mysteriously vanished.
She travels from Manchester to the Spanish paradise to get answers but will get a lot more than she bargained for.
Zoe will find herself thrown into danger as she discovers what befell her sibling with her own life potentially on the line.

Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint to star in Snatch TV remake
The series will be set across two timelines: the past in the 90s and the present with flashbacks shedding light on the DJ’s disappearance.
The show will take place in various locations across the island, which is a character in itself.
Joining Haddock in the cast will be Line of Duty star Daniel Mays, Lewis actor Laurence Fox and Angela Griffin from Turn Up Charlie.
Further cast members include Marta Milans, Juan Diego Botto and Nuno Lopes.
The Spanish-English production featured several writers who worked on the scripts penned by Pina.
There was one bilingual writer who worked on the relevant dialogue as they tried to ensure the script was nuanced.
Harries said: “I hope what people feel when they watch the show is it sits properly.
“The Spanish are speaking proper colloquial Spanish in their natural rhythms and the English is perfectly natural too.”

Where is White Lines filmed?
Production started on White Lines in June 2019 with filming taking place in Ibiza itself.
Filming took place between June and October on the Balearic Islands which also included Majorca.
Scenes were filmed in an around the area with White Lines showcasing the island’s beauty.
Fans can expect to see different sides to the island from a partying holiday destination for Brits to a seedy underbelly involving drugs and danger.

The show’s production managed to escape the fallout of coronavirus with some post-production completed remotely.
However, filming was finished before the globe went into lockdown due to COVID-19.
Executive Andy Harries told Deadline: “This was [filmed] against the background of Brexit.
“We felt we were the last attempt to demonstrate that Britain should be a part of Europe,”
He continued: “Shows full of sunshine, full of light, full of beautiful landscapes are always important. This is a fantastic time [to be launching].
“People can’t go to the Balearic Islands right now and this is the next best thing.”
