Who is Jennie Nguyen's husband Dr Duy Tran?

Season two of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City first aired in September of 2021, where fans of the show were introduced to the newest housewife, Jennie Nguyen, and her family.

Dr Duy Tran is a Salt Lake City-based chiropractor and founded Health Quest Utah in 1992.

"Dr. Tran has been keeping world-class & Olympic athletes, medical providers, celebrities, and working-class people aligned and going strong for the past 28 years," reads the Health Quest website.

Tran became the Health Advisor for Good Things Utah in 2005 and has been on the Board of Directors and the Chairman of Ambassadors for the Murray Chamber of Commerce and President of the Utah Business Network in Midvale.

The website also states that Dr Tran taught as a professor for Bio-mechanics and Physics in Motion at the University of Utah.

In his introduction on the show, Nguyen said the two met through his sister.

Nguyen happened to be working at a photography studio at the time and was giving Tran's sister a makeover when she offered to set the two up on a blind date.

"When I first met my husband, I was like, 'D**n, you have a nice body from the neck down, from the neck up I was like, you know, it was okay," Nguyen said on the season two premiere of RHOSLC.

Who is Jennie Nguyen?

Born on June 10, 1977, Jennie Nguyen is a former member of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

Nguyen was born in Vietnam and moved to the United States when she was seven years old.

"Jennie is not afraid to ask the tough questions and has no problem jumping right into the drama," her Bravo TV biography reads.

Prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom to her three children, Jennie worked as a medical spa owner and businesswoman.

Was Jennie Nguyen fired from Real Housewives?

On January 25, 2022, the official Bravo TV Instagram account took to the social media platform to announce that Jennie Nguyen was fired from RHOSLC.

The decision came after the discovery of Nguyen's old social Facebook account, where she shared controversial memes considered "racist" and "anti-vax."

Nguyen reportedly posted the "racially charged jokes" over a six-month period, during the height of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020.

"Bravo has ceased filming with Jennie Nguyen and she will no longer be a cast member of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City," the post read.

Bravo's statement continued: "We recognize we failed to take appropriate action once her social media posts were brought to our attention.

"Moving forward, we will work to improve our processes to ensure we make better informed and more thoughtful cast decisions."

According to Nguyen: "At the time, I thought I was speaking out against violence, but I have since learned how offensive and hurtful my words were."

"I regret those posts and am sincerely sorry for the pain they caused," she continued.
