Will there be a Lucifer season 5 on Netflix? Lesley-Ann Brandt has thoughts
Lucifer season four dropped on Netflix last week and fans immediately devoured all 10 new episodes of the Tom Ellis-fronted series and are already calling for season five.
Maze star Lesley-Ann Brandt opened up about renewal possibilities, and it’s giving us hope.
‘I think we might,’ the actress, 37, said on making a fifth season of Lucifer with Netflix.
‘Our trailer has got four million views, which is crazy and it was humbling,’ she told Mea Worldwide.
‘I hope so as there is so much story that we could tell, and the way we ended the season, it was on a massive cliffhanger. ‘
She added: ‘So, I just don’t see how we don’t have a season five.’
Showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich teased a potential recommission, saying they have lost of ‘awesome’ ideas in mind.
‘We did spend some time digging into what we think can be season five.’ Henderson told Entertainment Weekly.
‘We even have the first scene [of season five], which is one of my favourite things we’ve ever come up with.’
Season four ended on an agonising cliffhanger so much so that the hashtag #LuicferSeason5 is already gaining prominence on Twitter.
One tweet with over 500 likes reads: ‘Ohhhhhh, are you f****** kidding me!!! I just saw the finale of #luciferseason4 WHAAAAAAAAAAAT?!? That’s even worse than the season 3 cliffhanger. How should I survive till next year? #Lucifer #LuciferSeason5.’
While another states: ‘I just finished #LuciferSeason4 on #Netflix. And I’m not ok. But in a good way?? Spectacular season and I’m waiting for a #LuciferSeason5 announcement with bated breath.’
So fingers crossed Netflix announces the renewal soon before Luicfans lose it.
Lucifer season 4 is currently streaming on Netflix.
