At least three people shot at busy Arizona shopping complex

At least three people were shot at a massive Arizona shopping complex on Wednesday night, authorities said.

A gunman was arrested after the shooting at the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, according to police.

Arizona state Senator Martín Quezada tweeted that he witnessed the gunman shoot two people with an AR-15.

“I saw 2 victims with my own eyes. Not sure how many others. I saw the shooter,” Quezada wrote. “I’m ok. Lots of shaken up people.”

Shortly before 8 p.m. local time the Glendale police department said on Twitter that “there are no more reports of any active shooting.”

“We are shutting down the Westgate area to ensure everyone is safe,” the department said.
