Blackpool tragedy: Body found near popular tourist attraction as cops tape off beach | The Sun

COPS have taped off a beach after a body was found near a popular tourist attraction.

A man was found just off the promenade, near Blackpool Tower, around 6.30am on Thursday.

Emergency services rushed to the scene this morning where the victim was sadly pronounced dead upon their arrival.

It is not yet clear how the man died.

His name and age have not been released at this stage but his family have been informed, say cops.

A large cordon was put in place between the North and Central Pier as investigations started.

Lancashire Police believe the death is not suspicious and will be passing it onto the area coroner.
