A British woman is trying for a baby with her Egyptian ‘soul mate’ after she was tragically dumped by a waiter when her cash ran out.
Joanna Girling, 48, claimed she found the love of her life, Hysm Fygo, 40, from Egypt, shortly after her former Egyptian boyfriend broke up with her in 2019 when she couldn’t afford to cash out for his extravagant lifestyle.
Joanna and Hysm’s relationship was quickly slammed by her family and friends ‘because of what happened in the past’, but they are now trying for a baby and are set to be married next year, according to the Mirror.
Joanna from Kings Lynn, Norfolk, said: ‘They still think Hysm is just with me for my money, but I know it’s not true. When I first met him, I had nothing, and he knew I had no money.
‘Hysm actually got a bank loan out to pay for my visa in Egypt after I got divorced.’

The pair, who have been trying to have a bay, are now looking forward to getting married and buying a house
Joanna left her ex-husband in 2018 for her new lover, Hassan- he then dumped her in 2019
Joanna returned to Egypt as a singleton to work as a nursery teacher, where she then met her ‘soul mate’ Hysm
The ex-Tesco worker started an affair with her former Eygptian lover Hassan, on holiday in 2018 and would sneak off to sleep with the waiter while her husband slept.
When she returned to England, Joanna broke off her marriage to pursue Hassan – who was in his twenties- but it eventually ended when ‘her money ran out’.
In 2019, Joanna returned to Egypt as a singleton to work as a nursery teacher, where she then met her ‘soul mate’ Hysm.
Joanna said: ‘I was only with Hassan for a month, and he gave me a list of things he wanted – cognac, aftershave, trainers, a phone. He kept asking me to send him money.
‘So when I met Hysm, I kept pushing him away. He said to me, ‘Look, I’m not after your money. It’s you that I want to be with’.
‘Hysm makes me feel great. He made me trust people again. He is my soulmate,’
The pair want to visit the UK for a year to save money. Hysm has family in England and has never visited the UK before
While Joanna claimed her blossoming romance is for real, her family and friends in the UK are still unconvinced four years on, and she has had no contact with them.
Joanna met Hysm while drinking with a friend at his herbs and spices shop in 2019.
In 2021, Joanna returned to the UK to save up some money and get a formal divorce, so she and Hysm could marry officially in Egypt.
The pair, who live together in a rented flat in Hurghada, are now saving for their big wedding day and hope to buy a property in Luxor one day.
She said: ‘Western women have to go to Cairo to get married; it’s a bit like a registry office. It’s not straightforward like in England,’ Joanna said.
‘It’s about 50,000 Egyptian pounds (£1,200), and we’re looking at next month. I want Hysm to have a wedding because he’s never had one.
‘We would love to have a family, but it might not be possible because I’m 48. We’ve been trying for four years, but nothing has happened.
Joanna earns around £200 a month working on a boat seven days a week.

Joanna added: ‘People said that it wouldn’t last, and we’ve been together four years now. I went with my heart and had a lot of backlash, but I proved them wrong.’
