Family of Indianapolis FedEx shooter issues apology to victims
The family of the 19-year-old who went on a shooting rampage at an Indianapolis FedEx facility issued a statement Saturday sending “heartfelt apologies,” according to a report.
Authorities identified Brandon Scott Hole, a former FedEx worker, as the gunman who slaughtered eight people Thursday night before killing himself.
“We are devastated at the loss of life caused as a result of Brandon’s actions; through the love of his family, we tried to get him the help he needed,” his family said in the statement, the Indianapolis Star reported. “Our sincerest and most heartfelt apologies go out to the victims of this senseless tragedy. We are so sorry for the pain and hurt being felt by their families and the entire Indianapolis community.”
The family declined interview requests, the newspaper reported.
The FBI said Hole’s mother had called police last year saying she was worried her son might try to commit suicide by cop.
