Four Jewish teenagers help save drowning man with swastika tattoo on hand

Four Jewish teenagers helped save a drowning man with a swastika tattoo on his hand.

The heroic students were walking past a reservoir when they spotted a body in the water in Boston, USA.

They also spotted a police patrol car nearby, before running to alert a driver and police officer named in reports as Mr Mascioli.

Officer Mascioli then rushed from his car to the embankment, where he saw the man's body partially submerged in the water at Chestnut Hill reservoir.

Mr Mascioli pulled him from the water, noticing he had anti-Semitic symbols tattooed on his hands.

He said he felt the boys, from Boston, America should know about the tattoos, reports Boston NBC .

Mr Mascioli said: "I kind of let the gentlemen know that sometimes good deeds have a funny way of turning around.

"Their good deed had a little bit of a twist to it."

The unidentified man pulled from the water was sent to hospital and is expected to make a good recovery.

However, Police said he didn't have much time left when the teens spotted and helped save him from the water.

Mr Mascioli added that he probably wouldn't have seen the body in the water if it wasn't for the teenagers.

The students reportedly wanted the man to know it was four Jews who saved his life.

Mr Mascioli said: "They wanted to let him know that it was four young Jewish boys that helped save him."

It's unclear how the man ended up in the water.
