Giuliani pal Igor Fruman is not loving his house arrest

A Rudy Giuliani associate accused of plotting to violate U.S. campaign finance laws doesn’t think he should be subject to home confinement or GPS monitoring, according to his attorney.

Igor Fruman — who was arrested earlier this month with a one-way ticket to Vienna alongside Giuliani fixer Lev Parnas — won’t flee the country because he’s already put up a $1 million bond, his lawyer Todd Blanche told Manhattan federal court judge Paul Oetken.

“Mr. Fruman is simply not a flight risk necessitating home detention and electronic GPS monitoring,” Blanche wrote, noting Fruman’s brother and estranged wife, who signed the bond, would keep him from fleeing.

Oetken ordered a Friday hearing on the matter, but said Fruman doesn’t have to attend because he lives in Florida.

Fruman, Parnas and two other men stand accused of plotting to funnel illegal campaign contributions to a pro-Trump super PAC and other politicians in exchange for favors. They’ve pleaded “not guilty.”
