Adorable images have emerged of a happy seal waving to a camera while sunbathing on a beach on the English coast.
Photographer Johan Siggeson, of Zurrieq in Malta, snapped the cute moment at the Horsey beach in Norfolk.
He said: ‘It was an amazing experience to spend time with these seals. We had some horrible weather the first days with rain, hail and wind.’
The pictures show the fluffy Common Seal stretched out on its back holding its flipper to its head in a perplexed expression.
It then waves in the air and catches a glimpse at Johan who is standing just inches away on the dunes.
Mr Siggeson wrote on Facebook: ‘Back to the babies again then… It’s easy to be drawn to these cuties when working on the beach here in the UK. If you lack a bit of inspiration there’s always a cute pup around.’
The seal pup, showing off its cute glory, appears in utter bliss unlike recent months where three of the sea mammals were found with their necks trapped in flying discs at the same beach.
The RSPCA recorded a rise in plastic related incidents from 473 in 2015 to 579 in 2018.
Common seals come ashore to give birth from November to January which means winter can be a busy time for seal spotting.
North of the beach is Blakeney Point nature reserve which is home to Common and Grey seals. It has more 3,000 pups born each year, making it the largest colony in England.

1. Keep your distance – Maintain at least 10 metres between you and the seals
2. Never come between a pup and their mother
3. Always keep your dog on the lead. Seals are protective of their pups and will bite if approached
4. Don’t chase seals or their pups into the water. White seal pups are not waterproof until they moult and are likely to drown
5. Don’t take selfies
