Love rat Jermain Defoe took his new flame to a five-star £1,200-a-night hotel just days after appearing at a red-carpet event with the girlfriend he ditched his wife for, it emerged today.

Former Tottenham and England star Defoe was seen kissing wedding planner Paige Mallabourn­ Edmondson outside the swanky Northcote Hotel near Clitheroe, Lancashire, in pictures obtained by the Sun on Sunday.

The pair are understood to have stayed the night there on October 14 to celebrate her 29th birthday, for which he is also said to have bought her a £10,000 Cartier watch and a £2,500 Dior bag.

Just six days before, however, he was seen at the Pride of Britain awards with influencer Alisha LeMay, who he began seeing only weeks after the collapse of his marriage to wife Donna Tierney in January 2023.

He was also spotted with Alisha again at his £3m mansion on October 20, days after his weekend away with Paige, according to the paper.

Defoe, 41, who now works as a coach and as a TV pundit, is believed to have met Paige in August and the pair have enjoyed a whirlwind romance ever since. 

A source said: ‘Paige has found her soulmate in Jermain and he seems serious about them. They are really happy together.’

Her mother confirmed they were in a relationship together in September.

But Alisha has been living with Defoe at his Hertfordshire home since May and flew with him to a wedding in Bali last month.

They also appeared together at the Pride of Britain Awards, after which she shared a pictured captioned: ‘A night I’ll never forget.’ 

His relationship with Alisha came following the breakdown of his marriage to Scottish beauty therapist Donna, just months after their glitzy £200,000 OK! Magazine wedding last June.

Defore first became acquainted with 40-year-old Donna by ‘liking’ her pictures on social media. 

They met in person for the first time in January 2021 at a charity do, where she asked him for a signed shirt.

Just seven months later he got down on one knee and proposed to her at a £2,500-a-night Glasgow hotel that was decked out with light up ‘Marry Me’ letters and rose petals.

The couple then married in a £200,000 ceremony at Cliveden House in June 2022, with some of the 250 guests including Tottenham assistant first team coach Ledley King and ex West Ham player turned TalkSport pundit Carlton Cole.

Just six months later, in January 2023 however, the couple had split, after Defoe had been spotted posting pictures of himself without his wedding ring and with no mention of his wife.

Donna claimed only a couple of months later that the footballer cheated on her after finding a love note sent to him. 

In October 2022, Defoe reportedly messaged a nurse begging for sex just one month after the lavish wedding to his wife.

He was alleged to have messaged a woman via Instagram and invited her to join him in his Range Rover.

The Sun reported that the youth academy coach began contacting the 40-year-old mother in July, having just got married the month before – though Defoe denied any wrongdoing.

Representatives for Defoe have been approached for comment.
