Man in his 20s shot dead in East London as cops launch 'urgent' probe
A MAN in his 20s has been shot dead in East London overnight.
Police were called to a reports of shots fired in Hackney to find the man fatally injured with gunshot wounds just before midnight on Friday.
Emergency services desperately tried to save his life but he was pronounced dead at the scene on Brackenfield Close.
Met Police today said: "Detectives have launched an urgent investigation.
"At this early stage, officers are working to establish the full circumstances. There has been no arrest."
The man’s next of kin have been informed.
Cordons remain in place at the scene, where a full forensic examination has commenced.
A section 60 has been authorised across the borough of Hackney from 00.15hrs until 15.15hrs on Saturday, 6 June.
