BRISTOL men are the biggest fibbers when it comes to telling their partner how good they look — with nearly half lying to them.

Some 41 per cent of men from the city confessed to saying their other half was “beautiful” when in reality they looked in a right state, according to a poll.

Most honest were men from Nottingham, where just 11 per cent living in the city admitted fibbing about how their partner looked when asked.

Southampton women were most likely to tell porkies about how “handsome” their lover was.

A total of 37 per cent said they often fibbed about how good their other half looked.

Among the top reasons why people lied about their partner’s appearance was to “get out of the house on time” and to make them “feel better about themselves”.

But some did it “just for fun”, according to the poll of 1,000 men and 1,000 women by ToppCasinoBonus.
