Mike Tindall and his daughters Mia and Lena have been spotted cavorting around at the Burghley Horse Trials while his wife Zara competed. 

He larked around with adorable sisters Mia, five, and Lena, one, today at the event in Stamford, Lincolnshire. 

Mia wore a t-shirt and jeans while she messed around and played with her father as the trio supported Zara, 38, who was taking part in the cross country event on her horse, Class Affair.

Mike and his daughters seemed to be having lots of fun at the equestrian event, which attracts crowds of around 160,000 people.

Zara has been riding her horse, which is owned by Gleadhill House Stud, since the beginning of 2017 and the 10-year-old boy is making his debut at Burghley.

The Queen’s granddaughter donned a top hat and dressage uniform as she rode ten-year-old horse Class Affair, who made his debut at five-star level.

Teaming a smart navy double-breasted jacket with white slacks, the daughter of the Princess Royal looked like she meant business as she elegantly rode across the impressive course.

The mother-of-two tied her blonde hair back to keep it off her face and opted for minimal makeup for the equestrian event.

Zara is an avid rider and won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics as part of the Great Britain Eventing Team.

The 67-strong field of riders at the equestrian event are all in pursuit of Burghley’s £95,000 top prize, with the competition having started on Thursday and set to end on Sunday.

Zara is currently 11th in the leader board – and had her best Burghley result in 2003 on Toytown, when she finished second to Pippa Funnell.

The Burghley Horse Trials were established in 1961 and have since featured the magnificent Burghley House as a backdrop.

It’s also famous for its extensive shopping avenues and is a major international equestrian and social event.

Zara is a serious international equestrian competitor, having garnered a gold medal at the European Eventing Championships in 2005 in addition to attaining a silver medal at the World Equestrian Games in 2006.

She has previously been crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year and has been nicknamed the Royal Olympian.
