Neo-Nazi Texas gunman killed eight people in FOUR minutes in massacre

Neo-Nazi Texas gunman killed eight people in FOUR minutes in mall massacre – and had eight legally purchased guns on him when he opened fire, cops reveal

  • Mauricio Garcia, 33,  shot and killed his eight victims in just four minutes according to law enforcement
  • He was able to purchase all of the firearms legally and brought three to the scene on his person and five more in the car
  • Officers say that Garcia targeted the ‘location’ of the mall rather than the individuals

A gunman who opened fire at a Texas mall had ‘neo-Nazi’ ideologues and murdered eight people in four minutes.

Authorities confirmed that Mauricio Garcia, 33, had legally purchased eight firearms before the incident and carried three on his person and five more in his vehicle to the shopping center in Allen.

Texas Department of Public Health and Safety Regional Director Hank Sibley said in a press conference that Garcia did not have any criminal history.

He confirmed that law enforcement is looking into if any of the firearms were used in criminality but said nothing has yet been flagged up on their systems.

Officers say that Garcia targeted the ‘location’ of the mall rather than the individuals, with Sibley adding: ‘He was very random in the people he killed’.

Authorities confirmed that Garcia had legally purchased eight firearms before the incident and carried three on his person and five more in his vehicle to the shopping center

However law enforcement was unable to confirm the motive of the shooting, adding that they did not find a manifesto left behind by the shooter.

During the press conference they confirmed that Garcia did not make it through basic Army training in 2008 because of a mental health issue.

The FBI is continuing to comb through his electronic devices and social media, as well as monitoring a profile on the OK.RU platform.

Sibley said: ‘The big question is why? What was the motive? At this point we don’t know. That’s what the investigation is trying to find out.

‘He had neo-Nazi ideations, he had patches, he had tattoos, even his signature.

‘To me it looked like he targeted the location rather than a specific group of people.’

City of Allen Police Chief Brian Harvey said that the name of a brave officer who rushed to the scene and killed Garcia will not be released because of the ongoing investigation.

He added that victim of the shooting, Christian LaCour, 20, managed to escort one person to safety before being killed.

The account on the site OK.RU is also littered with pictures of guns and ammunition

The mall is expected to reopen shortly with stores opening based on what the management of each store decides.

Sibley added that the response to the mall shooting as ‘stellar’, and praised the police officer who killed the gunman after requesting backup.

They believe that the entire incident after shots were fired happened in a matter of minutes, with officers neutralizing the threat.

Authorities said it was ‘too early to say’ if the murders were an ‘act of domestic terrorism’, and wanted to inspect his social media before commenting further.

Garcia was approved for a security license in Texas, but it had expired at the time of the massacre and he had not been working as a security guard for some time.

It comes after his account posted photos of nazis, guns and ammunition as well as extremist rants about Jews, women and racial minorities, according to Bellingcat researcher Aric Toler.

Posts also show a series of shirtless pictures with white power tattoos on Garcia’s body, including SS Lightning Bolts and a swastika. Cops confirmed that his signature also had a Nazi influence but did not elaborate further

The account was littered with Nazi posts. The following four photos were all uploaded with the caption: ‘My kind of people’

In the weeks before he committed the senseless mass shooting at Allen Premium Outlets near Dallas, more than two dozen photos of the shopping center and surrounding area were uploaded to an account on the OK.RU platform that appears to belong to Garcia

DailyMail.com verified a picture of Garcia uploaded to the account that shows him next to a waitress at a Hooters in Texas Twin Peaks.

Just three weeks before he carried out the mass shooting, he uploaded more than a dozen photos of the shopping center and surrounding area, including screenshots of Google location information tracking peak visiting times.

Both Toler and NBC said the account, on Russian site OK.RU, belonged to Garcia, who was shot and killed at the scene.

Another post appears to show the receipt for the guns and ammunition he bought in 2020, which he ultimately used to carry out the shootings.

He also refers to extremist online forums such as 4chan and content from white nationalists, including Nick Fuentes, an antisemitic white nationalist

Garcia appears to have also posted about his mental health, and in the final one he lamented about what his family would say, before adding that no psychologist would have been able to fix him.

He was briefly enrolled in the Army in 2008 and previously worked as a security guard but his license expired in 2020.

Posts also included Google location information which monitors peak times at the center

Another post also praised Nashville shooter Audrey Hale, who killed six people – including three children – when she opened fire at a private Christian school.

Other photos include a bulletproof vest that appears to match the one described by witnesses to the shooting, which is emblazoned with an acronym for ‘Right Wing Death Squad’ – a popular meme among far-right extremist groups.

Posts also show a series of shirtless pictures with white power tattoos on his body, including SS Lightning Bolts and a swastika.

Police still have not confirmed the motive for the shooting, nor if they have recovered a manifesto from the shooter.

But the OK.RU account makes is plastered with neo-Nazi ideology and rants against women and Jews.

It also posts extensively about Hitler, ‘superior races’ and about wanting to escape life, while raving about mass killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

The final post on OK.RU included the lyrics of a heavy metal song titled ‘You’ve dug your grave now lie in it.’

The account didn’t explicitly state what was being planned, but twisted posts frequently refer to violence.

It comes after a Superintendent confirmed that two elementary school pupils were shot and killed in the tragedy.

Fourth-grader Daniela Mendoza and second-grader Sofia Mendoza were both shot dead and their mother, Ilda, remains in a critical condition.

Both attended Cox elementary school, with Wylie ISD Superintendent David Vinson saying in an email: ‘We love your babies, we love them so much. Our love for our kiddos and each other will get us through this.

‘Daniela and Sofia will not be forgotten. Hug your kids, and tell them you love them.’

Authorities confirmed the identity of the final victim on Monday as Elios Cumana-Rivas, 32, from Dallas.

Engineer Aishwarya Thatikonda, 27, and Christian LaCour, 20, who worked as a security guard at the mall, were also killed in the massacre.

Thatikonda, originally from Hyderabad, India, had been shopping for her upcoming birthday when she was one of the nine shot dead – including the shooter.

She moved to Dallas two years ago to work as a Project Engineer at Perfect General Contractors, was shopping with her friend at the Allen Premium Outlets on Saturday morning when gunman Mauricio Garcia opened fire.

‘She was very friendly and very loving,’ a family representative told WFAA, adding that Thatikonda’s friend was injured in the shooting and is currently stable in the hospital.

LaCour was the first victim of the mass shooting to be identified yesterday, with his grandmother Sandra Montgomery describing him as a ‘beautiful soul’.

‘My beautiful grandson, Christian LaCour, was the security guard killed in the shooting at Allen, Texas. He was such a beautiful soul,’ she wrote.

In another tribute post shared Sunday, one person who is friends with LaCour’s family said he was a ‘very sweet gentleman.’

Kellie Smith said she considered herself lucky to have ‘watched this sweet young boy turn into a very sweet gentleman,’ the woman wrote on Facebook.

‘Their will forever be a void. Please uplift his family in prayer as they navigate this unimaginable time of their lives. Christian you will always remain close to us because we will keep you in our hearts until we see you in Heaven,’ Smith wrote.

LaCour was the first of eight victims to be identified publicly and the identification came a full day after the shooting took place.

Children were among the eight killed during the rampage, where more than 100 rounds were fired. Seven were pronounced at the scene and two at the hospital.
