'Operation Broken Hearts' sees 37 'child sex predators' arrested in undercover human trafficking sting in Arizona
A WHOPPING thirty-seven suspected sexual predators have been arrested for alleged child sex crimes and human trafficking during an undercover sting in Phoenix.
Cops busted more than three dozen people as part of a nationwide effort to get predators off the streets and into jail earlier this month, the Phoenix Police Department said Friday.
The sting, dubbed Operation Broken Hearts,saw agents put ads on websites and apps commonly used by suspects seeking sex acts with children, to lure criminals in.
Those arrested over the week-long operation this month are accused of soliciting and/or brokering deals for various sex acts, KNXV reported.
The 37 people arrested ranged in age from 21 to 66.
Phoenix police joined the police departments of Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Attorney General’s Office for the operation.
