Shane Warne's youngest daughter Summer shares poignant pictures

‘I wish I could tell you everything was going to be OK and how much I love and look up to you’: Shane Warne’s youngest daughter Summer pays heartbreaking tribute as she posts poignant pictures of them together when she was a little girl

  • Summer is cricket legend’s youngest child by his former wife, Simone Callahan
  • She’s told of her pain over his loss and how their time together had been ‘robbed’
  • Today, Thai police revealed his death at age of just 52 was from natural causes

Shane Warne’s youngest daughter Summer today paid a heartbreaking tribute to her father as she shared poignant photos of them together while she was a little girl.

The 20-year-old wrote on Instagram how she wished she had been able to speak with her father before he died to ‘tell you everything was going to be okay, and to hold your hand and tell you how much I love and look up to you’.

And summing up her agony, she wrote: ‘There are no words. It feels like I’m dreaming, waiting for someone to wake me up and tell me that you’re okay.

‘This can’t be real life. There’s no way that life is this cruel to the most beautiful people on this earth.

‘There’s no way that I will never hear your soft voice again telling me that ‘“everything is going to be okay”’ or how ”proud’” you are of me, or simply saying ‘“goodnight”’, ‘“good morning”, or ”I love you”.’

She also shared tender family photos of her and her father. In one, the pair are seen lying in bed with their eyes closed, while in the other they embrace each other while smiling broadly.

Warne, the greatest spin bowler of all time cricketers of all time, died of a suspected heart attack in a holiday villa in Thailand. Today police confirmed his death – at the age of just 52 – was from natural causes.

Summer Warne is Warne’s youngest child by his former wife, Simone Callahan, to whom he was married between 1995 and 2005, and has two older siblings, Brooke and Jackson.

In her tribute, she wrote of being prepared to do ‘anything’ to ‘hear that laugh again, anything to hear your voice, anything to have one of your cuddles, anything to be with you again just one last time’.

She added: ‘Our time was robbed and I wish you would come back to me.

‘You may not be alive dad, but you will forever live inside my heart, I will cherish the memories till my time is up on this earth and I am reunited with you again.

‘I love you dad, forever and always will be my father no matter where you are.’

Summer Warne recently re-shared a photo of her with her father that she originally posted three years ago

Summer, sister Brooke and brother Jackson, are believed to be spending time at their mother Simone’s home in the southeastern Melbourne suburb of Somers.

The siblings are reportedly been ‘in complete shock’ since their 52-year-old father’s sudden death in Koh Samui, Thailand on Friday evening.

Jackson Warne, 23, told his father’s long-time manager James Erskine at the weekend that he and 24-year-old Brooke and Summer, 20, ‘expect him to walk through the door’ any moment.

‘This is like a bad dream,’ Jackson told him.

‘I think the three children are in complete shock,’ Erskine said on Channel 9’s Today show.

Warne’s kids, Brooke, Summer and Jackson, (pictured with him a decade ago at the 2012 Allan Border Medal awards) are said to be in ‘complete shock’ after his sudden death in Thailand

Jackson Warne (above with Shane) revealed after his exit from SAS Australia how just the sound of his father’s voice after the show’s separation made him break down in tears

‘One minute the kids are talking to him every day, the next minute they can’t talk to him and they start thinking about he’s not going to be there for my 21st, he’s not going to take me down the aisle.’

Erskine said Warne’s children are ‘having a much harder time than anybody’ after the 52-year-old’s death.

Simone Callahan is also said to be ‘really upset’ at the thought of her children having to move on without their beloved dad.

In 2021, Jackson opened up about his relationship with his iconic father, noting he only saw him as ‘dad’ and not as a sporting legend like most others.

‘There are no words, it feels like I’m dreaming’: Summer Warne’s full heartbreaking statement

There are no words. It feels like I’m dreaming, waiting for someone to wake me up and tell me that you’re okay. This can’t be real life. There’s no way that life is this cruel to the most beautiful people on this earth. There’s no way that I will never hear your soft voice again telling me that “everything is going to be okay” or how “proud” you are of me, or simply saying “goodnight” or “good morning SJ I’ll see you in the morning, I love you…”.

Moments before the world took you away from me, we were jamming to “Summer of 69” and “I’ve had the time of my life”. Talking about how much you loved that song and seeing your smile light up the whole room while we danced and couldn’t stop laughing at each other. God you made me laugh dad. Little did I know that was the last time I would ever see you dad.

I’d do anything to hear that laugh again, anything to hear your voice, anything to have one of your cuddles, anything to be with you again just one last time. I wish in your final moments before you went off to heaven and before you took your last breathe that I could tell you everything was going to be okay, and to hold your hand and tell you how much I love and look up to you. I took our time for granted dad and I would do anything to have more time with you on this earth.

Our time was robbed and I wish you would come back to me. You may not be alive dad, but you will forever live inside my heart, I will cherish the memories till my time is up on this earth and I am reunited with you again. I love you dad, forever and always will be my Father no matter where you are Love your little girl SJ and I will continue to make you proud.
