A SOCIAL worker was knifed to death during a visit to a house where she helped residents.
Tributes were paid to Belinda Rose, 63, on Monday as a man was charged with her murder.
Emergency services were called to the house in Perry Barr, Birmingham, at around 1.50pm on Saturday.
But Belinda, of Walsall, West Midlands, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neighbours said Belinda was working for the landlord of the property providing “supported living” for tenants.
One resident said: “It is really tragic. She was a lovely woman.
“She really had a passion for her job and was brilliant with people.
“I can’t stop thinking about Belinda, and her family, she had been dealing with her husband who had been very ill recently, so for this to happen now is beyond belief.”
Another neighbour added: “There were police all over the place over the weekend, we knew something serious had happened.
“Its really frightening when something like this happens so close to home. My thoughts are with her family, its dreadfully sad.”
Inderjit Ram, 52, of Great Barr, appeared at Birmingham magistrates’ court on Monday charged with murder.
