If you’re like many others, there’s a good chance that you spend a large part of your day staring at a screen. Whether your phone is never more than a few feet away or your job requires you to spend several hours a day behind a laptop, all of that screen time can really add up, and you may notice that your eyes feel strained and that it’s harder to fall asleep at the end of the day.

According to WebMD, this strain isn’t just in your mind: “Normally, we blink about 15-20 times a minute. That spreads tears evenly over your eyes, which keeps them from getting dry and irritated. But researchers have found that people blink less than half as often when they’re reading, watching, or playing on a screen.” Also the varying texts you come across and the glare from your screen can also contribute to eye strain and can even disrupt your circadian rhythm.

Luckily, there are a few ways to combat that digital-age issue, but one of the most popular and stylish ways is to put on a pair of blue light glasses.

While the verdict is still out on whether blue glasses will truly solve your eye strain issues, they may get you to stop messing with your quality of sleep. Insider reports, “one small study, published in Chronobiology International, found that adults who used blue-light blocking glasses for two hours pre-bedtime fell asleep faster and slept better than those who didn’t.”

If you want to give blue light glasses a shot, check out the video above for more details and shop two of our favorite pairs below at both save and splurge prices.
