Emmerdale fans baffled as villagers fail to notice major change in Jacob

Emmerdale viewers were left raising their eyebrows tonight after Jacob Gallagher's family failed to notice a big difference in him.

The teen, played by Joe-Warren Plant, looked very different tonight as he finally joined the rest of his family to try and cheer Tracy up.

Instead of his usual wavy mane, he had his hair pulled back into a man bun.

And fans were perplexed that no one had commented on the change, with one tweeting: "Why has nobody noticed Jacob’s bun in Emmerdale ? #Emmerdale."

While another commented: "Finally Jacob has done something with his hair!! #Emmerdale."

A third remarked: "Wtf has Jacob done to his hair? #emmerdale."

"Why has Jacob got a bun in his hair? #Emmerdale," another asked.

Fans were also left sickened tonight after discovering that Jacob had still been writing to paedophile Maya Stepney in prison.

The teacher, who had been grooming student Jacob since last year, was jailed for a year in June.

Maya, played by actress Louisa Clein, was given a more lenient sentence after her abuse charges were reduced to sexual contact with a minor.

However despite her being jailed, Jacob is still brainwashed by the teacher and has said he would wait for her.

This evening, Jacob's dad received a call from the prison and Leyla walked over to check that everything was alright.

He told her: "Not really, no. That was the prison."

When she asked what they were ringing him for, he revealed that Maya had been receiving letters from Jacob.

Horrified viewers flocked to Twitter in concern.

One tweeted: "Maya’s been getting letters from Jacob #Emmerdale @emmerdale @JacobGEmmerdale @MrMattWolfenden @roxyshahidi @LouisaClein."

While another commented: "Jacob’s been writing to Maya in prison #Emmerdale."
