  • MOUSSA SISSOKO still reckons Spurs can finish in the top four this season.

He said: “Of course we are far, far behind the top four.

“But the season is long and we can still win a lot of games.

“It will not be easy but we know we have the qualities to do it.

“When we come back [after the international break] we will try to catch the teams in front of us and see where we are at the end of the season.”

  • DIDIER DESCHAMPS has given an update on Tanguy Ndombele's injury.

According to L'Equipe, the France boss said: “It's not very bad, he has a little worry that should be resolved within 48 hours.

“If I had uncertainty, I would have made the decision [to call someone else up], but that's not the case.”

  • TOTTENHAM have four names on their wishlist to replace Christian Eriksen, according to reports.

Spurs will be looking to offload the playmaker in January to avoid losing him on a free when his contract expires in June.

According to 90Min, Ajax star Hakim Ziyech is at the top of their wishlist.

Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes, Roma's Lorenzo Pellegrini and Celta Vigo ace Brais Mendez are also in the running.

  • BAYERN MUNICH have made Mauricio Pochettino their main priority as they search for a new boss, according to reports.

The Bundesliga giants axed Niko Kovac this month and Hansi Flick is expected to continue until the end of the season.

Caretaker Flick masterminded a 4-0 hammering of Borussia Dortmund but Pochettino is being lined up should he quit Spurs, claims The Athletic.

A source is quoted as saying: “Pochettino would be the preferred solution.

“If he and Spurs end up splitting, which looks likely, Bayern will do anything to get him.”

  • MARIO MELCHIOT has aimed a cheeky dig at Harry Kane.

Speaking to talkSPORT: “He [Pochettino] only wants players that want to be there and want to play with them.

“Even when I looked at Harry Kane, I'm a fan of Harry Kane, I'm not saying this because he's the player I love watching, this is a player that is normally dangerous and creates a lot of opportunity for himself.

“And I clearly didn't see that over the weekend.

“I felt that he was isolated and I don't think he was supported as much as he is.”
