The On-And-Off Girlfriend Of Ronnie From "Jersey Shore" Was Arrested For Domestic Violence

I don’t think that there’s a single person who could read that headline and be surprised. Maybe if they thought that Jersey Shore was a romantic-comedy about a New Jersey couple who spend a summer by the beach in the hopes of reigniting their romance. Then someone would be like: “Oh that actor’s girlfriend attacked him?!” But that person would be wrong.

Jersey Shore is a comedy, but not the good kind–you laugh to stop from crying at the dark, trashy state humanity finds itself in. While DJ Pauly D and Vinnie Guadagnino may have moved on (ish–dating women on a competition show is different than picking up girls at the bar… sort of) from their past and are starting a new reality-type existence of their own, their meathead co-star, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, seems caught in the same place. His tumultuous relationship with Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola was a major narrative on Jersey Shore. Ronnie may not be with Sammi anymore, but his current girlfriend–and mother of his child–seems to be equally as invested as Sammi was in fighting with Ronnie. On New Years, his messy girlfriend, Jen Harley, who has a history of going crazy, attacked Ronnie with an ashtray and now she’s been arrested for it.

TMZ reported on a messy fight Ronnie and Jen had in Las Vegas on New Years Eve. Obviously they were turnt (because what new parents aren’t getting lit at New Years when they have an 8-month-old at home?) and then things went from fun clubbing to aggressive fighting. Ronnie filed a police report against Jen because she allegedly chucked an ashtray at his face while at the nightclub and caused damage, cutting his nose, lip and forehead. There’s footage of Ronnie leaving the club holding his face. Ronnie allegedly then went to Jen’s place and tore her shit up. She alleges he broke pictures and smashed cabinets and wrecked a TV. Ronnie had previously been filmed smashing the security camera of her apartment, so it wouldn’t have been the first time he destroyed her property. No word on if Ronnie was actually the person who ransacked her place, but there hasn’t been any police movement on that front that TMZ reports. As for Jen’s assaulting Ronnie…

TMZ says a warrant was issued for Jen’s arrest last month in Las Vegas. She obviously forgot about the whole fight, or maybe she didn’t realize that Ronnie had legitimately followed through with filing his police report, because she went and called the police herself. She called the cops to her house early yesterday morning saying someone had a gun. The cops showed up to deal with Jen’s complaint, but didn’t find any man with a gun. What they did find was a woman with an outstanding warrant for her arrest. According to Entertainment Tonight Jen is still in jail on $3,000 bond.

Ronnie and Jen have a messy, messy history involving cheating allegations, physical fights on Instagram Live, numerous break-ups, and more. When you’re the second most messiest MTV couple, and only because Jenelle Evans and Dog Murderer hold the top spot, it’s probably time to break up with your messy girlfriend for once and for all, just make sure there’s no ashtrays around when you do it.
