Kym Marsh becomes a grandmother to 'beautiful grandson' at age 42
Kym Marsh has become a grandmother for the first time at the age of 42.
Kym’s daughter Emilie Cunliffe, 21, welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with boyfriend of two years, Mikey Hoszowskyj and Kym took to Instagram on 4 May to confirm the little one’s safe arrival in the world.
The Coronation Street actress was Emilie’s birthing partner and admitted that she was ‘honoured to have been a part of bringing him into the world’.
‘Last night was a night I will never forget,’ she shared.
I became a “Loli” for the first time!!! My beautiful daughter was an absolute warrior and her partner and I were the best birthing team we could be!!!
‘I was so honoured to have been a part of bringing him into the world. My beautiful grandson, I love you I will always love you and I promise to help guide you through life as best I can. Welcome to the world “Baby Hoz”.’
She confirmed that the baby’s name will be announced soon.
Even though Kym is set to have a grandchild in her 40s, she isn’t planning on being called grandma just yet and had previously confirmed that she would be called Loli after they searched for alternative names.
Speaking on This Morning in January, she said: ‘I’m really excited about being a grandparent but there’s no way I’m being a grandma, or granny, nanny or any of those things.
‘We looked on a website and found alternative names and I’m going to be Loli.’
Emilie also shared a picture on Instagram of her baby boy’s hand, and added: ‘Welcome to the world my precious baby boy.
‘You have filled a space in my heart that I never even knew was there, and you’ve managed to take over the hole of it. I’ve never felt a love like it. My life is complete, thanks to you. (sic)’
