‘I am in my nature caring and mothering in lots of ways because I’m with children and that’s what they need.
‘I feel like I just don’t need that in a relationship as well. i want someone to look at me a bit.’

She says she is looking for ‘an equal’, adding: ‘Someone that is caring and kind and funny and makes me laugh but also sits and has real and honest conversations with as well. ‘
After a period of profiling, investigations into their personal lives and detailed interviews with a psychologist, Michelle was placed with Owen as ‘a perfect match.’

She tells her daughter: ‘I am a little bit anxious. It’s a big commitment. You’re going to get married to someone you don’t know but who other people think you’ll get on with. If it works, that’s great. But how will you feel if it doesn’t?’
Meanwhile she explains to the camera: ‘I was hoping it would be a little bit different, and it might be more traditional and he would ask for her hand in marriage.’
And things don’t get any easier when Michelle finally finds her perfect wedding dress, with the bride-to-be explaining her mother is finding the process ‘quite hard’.
She says: ‘I can understand why. This is all overwhelming and very quick. The way I’m getting married is not the way she expected and it’s making her feel a bit more emotional about it because she hasn’t had time to process it.’

Days after the wedding, the UK was put into a national lockdown amid the Covid-19 crisis.
The newlyweds decided to move in together and isolate at Owen’s mother’s home because she was away at the time.
They were then given the length of the lockdown to decide whether they wanted to stay married, or whether to go their separate ways.
