Finally, after months of lockdown, the UK is beginning to open up from April 12 – that’s Monday by the way.

And, included in the industries re-opening are non-essential shops.

So, we don’t have to order everything online anymore… yay!

With some of our favourite fashion retailers about to swing open their doors we’re most excited for the ones that don’t trade online. We’re looking at you Primark…

So if you’re getting ready to plunder the bargain store for some budget summer buys then here’s some info you might not know.

There are more ways than one to order Primark items and bag the biggest discounts.

Ex-employee Rebecca Ward shared her top tips.

Firstly, she claims you can actually reserve baskets of clothes.

Apparently, you can put a basket on hold for up to two weeks – and within that time they may get the price reduced.

She told the Sun: "Staff and customers were allowed to reserve items for up to two weeks. They’d have to leave a name and telephone number and we’d go through it quite often.

"But customers would be aware of the final day we could hold it for and they’d come in the day before and add even more things to their basket.

"And if you save a basket full of winter jumpers as we’re going into spring, chances are those will be heavily reduced."

Plus, did you know you can ask for discounts on things.

It’s standard practice to knock 10% off a damaged item (even if it’s only one item in a multipack).

But, reportedly, managers can give you a higher discount if you ask.

Who'd have guessed? Not us…

She said: “If someone wanted 10% off a faulty three-pack of sunglasses, that’s only 30p so it wasn’t really worth it – especially as you can’t return it.

"In that instance, the manager might give you it for £2 but staff members can only offer 10%."

And, if something’s sold out in your size that’s not the end of the world.

Rebecca claims you can order it through the manager – they’ll add the specific item to their next stock replenishment.

She explained: “The cut-off is 2pm each day.

"The delivery will arrive the following evening for you to collect the next morning."

Previously, Primark worker Gemma explained the best time of the day to bag a bargain.

The young woman said: “The best time to shop is when they first open or an hour before they close.

“When I worked there, it totally depended on what stock came in that day but usually, shopping first thing was best.”
