Bradley Wash seen in Pop Larkin costume filming The Darling Buds of May reboot
Bradley Walsh has been snapped at a beach in Kent while filming ITV's The Darling Buds of May reboot.
The star will be taking over the role of Pop Larkin who was formerly played by TV legend David Jason.
The 61-year-old was spotted in full costume, sporting a blue shirt, green tie and black braces holding up his soaking wet beige trousers, as he shot a scene in the sea.
Bradley will be playing the happy-go-lucky character, which was first played by TV legend David Jason in the early 1990s.
His hair was styled slicked back with added sideburns too.
When talking about his excitement to play the role, The Chase host said: "I’m thrilled to be asked to be part of this much loved and iconic series of stories.
Bradley Walsh set to have eye surgery over hidden illness that makes him look different
"The warmth and affection that HE Bates has generated through his books is so uplifting and I cannot wait to be part of the Larkin family. It’ll be a hoot!"
There is not yet a confirmed air date for The Darling Buds of May remake, but with the filming underway fans are hoping it is sooner rather than later.
The original series was based on the HE Bates novels and took place in the Kent countryside.
The ITV remake will also feature The Thick Of It's Joanna Scanlan alongside Bradley in the role of Ma, and the role of Mariette, first filled by a young Catherine Zeta-Jones, will be taken on by Bridgerton's Sabrina Bartlett.
Holby City's Tok Stephen has also been cast to play the role of Cedric "Charley" Charlton.
The sighting comes after the presenter recently revealed that he will need to have his eyes operated on due to suffering "seriously bad" from a disorder called blepharitis that causes eye swelling and redness.
Addressing his health on This Morning, the 61-year-old presenter opened up by telling fans about his ongoing struggles with the condition.
Bradley said: "I have to take one pill a day for it or I really struggle. I am going to need my eyes operated on at some point to sort it out."
While Brad is mainly known for his hosting of The Chase, he opened himself up to a new set of fans when he joined Doctor Who alongside Jodie Whittaker.
