It comes after the couple’s wedding faced several delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, with their ceremony getting postponed three times.

TV development producer Charlie, 28, confirmed the happy news by sharing a snap of their big day on social media.

She stunned in an elegant Angelina Colarusso white gown, complete with a Bardot neckline.

In the sweet snap, Charlie could be seen gazing into Ed’s eyes while clutching onto her bridal bouquet.

The comedian looked dapper as he smiled at his bride.

He opted for a blue suit, which he paired with a lilac tie and a pastel blue shirt.

Charlie captioned the wedding photo: “9/9/21,” alongside a ring emoji.

Joel Dommett’s wife Hannah Cooper was one of the first to congratulate the couple on their big day.

She penned in the comments section of Charlie’s Instagram post: “So frikkin beautiful guys!!! Love to you both.”

Australian comedian Felicity Ward added: “Yayyyyyyy. You did it! All our love.”

Ed and Charlie have been together for 11 years.

They were set up on a date after meeting each other through mutual friends in 2010.

Ed proposed to Charlie during a holiday to Japan in October 2018.

The couple had initially planned on getting married in 2020, but their wedding was pushed back on three occasions because of coronavirus restrictions.

The star, who makes regular appearances on Mock the Week and Taskmaster, also spoke out on the delays in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk this year.

He admitted the situation eventually just felt “annoying”, after going through an emotional rollercoaster due to calling off their ceremony for the first time last year.

Ed said: “It was a real rollercoaster because the first time we had to postpone it was April 2020, and that was obviously in the thick of it being the really worrying start of the pandemic.

“And it just felt very new and very raw, and that wasn’t a nice feeling to have to postpone the wedding then.”

Detailing his thoughts on the problem, Ed admitted: “Now it’s just annoying, the second time we moved it, it was just an admin.

“The first time, it was quite emotional, so now we’re just we’re trying it, we’ve actually been back to the venue today, so hopefully we’ll be able to do it in September. In fact, we are, whatever form it takes.”
