SOUTHAMPTON goalkeeper Fraser Forster is set for an England recall SIX years after his last cap.
The Telegraph claims West Brom stopper Sam Johnstone is pulling out of Gareth Southgate's latest squad after being unable to train due to injury.
And Forster is ready for a stunning reprieve after impressing between the sticks for Saints this season.
The 34-year-old has been Ralph Hasenhuttl's No1 since Boxing Day, playing a starring role as Southampton aim for a top-half finish.
And Forster now has the chance to add to his six England caps in upcoming friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast.
The former Celtic loanee made his international bow against Chile in 2013.

But Forster's last England appearance came in 2016 versus Australia.
And despite being called up several times since, he is yet to play under Southgate.
Forster will become the third Southampton player in the current England squad after midfielder James Ward-Prowse and right-back Kyle Walker-Peters.
However, he will be vying with Everton's Jordan Pickford and Burnley's Nick Pope for a place in goal.

England players met up yesterday at St George's Park ahead of their upcoming friendly fixtures.
The Three Lions are making preparations for December's World Cup in Qatar, where they will be top seeds for next week's draw.
England first host Switzerland at Wembley on Saturday.
And they will then face Ivory Coast at home on Tuesday.
No less than THREE players could make their debuts, with Forster's Southampton pal Walker-Peters joined in the squad for the first time by Crystal Palace duo Marc Guehi and Tyrick Mitchell.
