EastEnders star Matt Di Angelo reveals wife Sophia is pregnant with twins

EastEnders star Matt Di Angela has revealed his wife Sophie is pregnant – with twins!

The actor, known for his role as Dean Wicks in the BBC One soap, announced the news on his Instagram with a gender reveal video.

The video saw Sophie and Matt let off two confetti canons.

Matt revealed they would be having a boy, with Sophia confirming they’d also soon be welcoming a baby girl into the world!

Alongside the video, Matt wrote: ‘The lottery of life, still a fair way to go but we feel VERY blessed. The boys name will be JACK, and the girls will be POT.’

Many of Matt’s former EastEnders co-stars commented on the post, with Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale), Emma Barton (Honey Mitchell) and Jo Joyner (Tanya Branning) all sending congratulatory messages.

Matt played Dean Wicks in EastEnders from 2006-2008.

Dean then returned in 2014 and was part of a storyline that saw him rape Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

Dean’s arrival back to Walford also saw his mum Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) reveal that she’s actually Mick’s (Danny Dyer) mother, not his sister.
