Aaron Carter’s fiancée Melanie Martin has accused his manager Taylor Helgeson of ‘enabling, overworking and using’ the late star in an explosive Instagram post.

The singer was found dead in his bathtub in his home in Lancaster, California on November 5 aged 34 – with his manager Taylor Helgeson giving a series of interviews about the star’s final words to him and his condition in his last days.

Martin, 35, who is the mother of Carter’s only son Prince, one, took to Instagram on Friday to claim Helgeson ‘had a hand in Aaron’s relapse’ and pushed him to go back on tour as he battled addiction.

Former child star Carter spent his life blighted by drug addiction. It was reported law enforcement found prescription pills and cans of compressed air in the bathroom where he died. He claimed he was nearly five years sober before his death.

Sharing a screenshot of an article in which Helgeson spoke about Carter, Martin wrote: ‘I haven’t spoke out but I feel the need to now. This man did nothing to help Aaron. He enabled him so much.

‘All he did was put a wedge between Aaron and I for the party to start. I was even thrown off the tour bus by this man!!

‘He tried to take over and brought him things that should have NEVER been brought to anyone. Let alone an addict.

‘I struggled with trying to keep a romantic and family relationship and a business relationship because I tried to keep enablers away

‘He overworked him when he was not well. He used him in life and now he’s still getting paid for interviews!

‘This man wanted to get Aaron’s career back but this wasn’t the time to do so. Aaron needed help and needed rehab to be sober before he could revive his career.

‘I am sick of people coming out of the woodwork now with false narratives to look like the hero.’

‘This man was no hero. He had a hand in his relapse. I tried to give this man the benefit of the doubt many times and he continuously disappointed me. Constantly using Aaron for clout and his belongings. You enabled him and tried to overwork him into something he was not.

‘I know I can’t bring back Aaron but I will always make sure the truth is spoken! I’ll protect Aaron for the rest of my life.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Taylor Helgeson for comment.

Claims: Martin, 35, who is the mother of Carter’s only son Prince, one, took to Instagram on Friday to claim Helgeson ‘had a hand in Aaron’s relapse’ and pushed him to go back on tour as he battled addiction

This comes as Helgeson, who worked with Carter for eight months, told Page Six how cyber-bullying ‘really affected’ the star.

He said: ‘It was like a nightmare. It was nonstop. It was so relentless and, yeah, it did a number on him.

Discussing the star being heckled during a live show, he said: ‘It really affected him, and he didn’t let it show in the performance, but when he got off the stage, he was like, really sad. He wasn’t angry, he was sad.’

Helgeson said Carter was further upset by viewing social media reaction but could not stop himself from looking.

He added that Carter and his estranged brother Nick also had plans to meet to work  on their relationship.

He said: ‘I know that they had plans … to get to get together, to forgive. I don’t know exactly when, but I know that they wanted to — that was the that was the idea.’

Helgeson previously told the publication Carter looked ‘thin, tired and physically frail’ in the final days before his tragic death.

Helgeson said he was concerned for his health when they met at a music studio two days before his death.

He said: ‘He looked thin. He was extremely tired. He just looked like he needed to be doing anything but working. He looked like he needed to be taking care of him.

Helgeson, who had been working with Carter for eight months, added: ‘He didn’t seem okay physically … [but] mentally, he was the most excited I’ve seen him in months. He was very intelligent and he was very conscious of what people wanted to see from him.’

The L.A. County Coroner’s Office is waiting for toxicology results to come back before it reveals a cause of death for Carter – but Helgeson doesn’t believe the star took his own life, saying he was ‘prideful and had so much going on.’

The star’s manager says the pair were discussing him going into an inpatient rehab program, which had been met with resistance by Carter.

Fatherhood: He added they considered three months in Utah ‘detoxing and formulating new physical habits’ – with Carter saying he wanted to focus on regaining custody of his one year-old son Prince before entering rehab

He added they considered three months in Utah ‘detoxing and formulating new physical habits’ -with Carter saying he wanted to focus on regaining custody of his one year-old son Prince before entering rehab.

Prince, who he shared with on-off fiancee Melanie Martin, is in the care of Melanie’s mother.

Helgeson said in mid 2022 Carter said he hadn’t slept for a ‘couple of days’ and felt ‘stressed out’, but after getting sleep, asked his manager to help him formulate a will – which was never completed.

Helgeson said a priority for him and the rest of his team is ensuring Prince is provided for – which is why posthumous projects like the star’s controversial memoir have been slammed.

It was recently revealed Carter had been cremated. According to TMZ, who obtained the singer’s death certificate, Carter’s ashes will be held by his twin sister, Angel. The document says that it was his mother, Jane, was the first to inform authorities about her son’s tragic passing.

The death certificate does not specify Carter’s cause of death.

Following her sibling’s tragic passing, Angel paid a heartbreaking to her brother on Instagram.

‘To my twin… I loved you beyond measure. You will be missed dearly. My funny, sweet Aaron, I have so many memories of you and I, and I promise to cherish them,’ she wrote.

Angel continued: ‘I know you’re at peace now. I will carry you with me until the day I die and get to see you again.’

Carter’s brother, former Backstreet Boys member Nick, also wrote about his brother on social media.

:’Very grateful for the outpour[ing] of love and support for my brother. In his memory, a donation fund has been started to benefit @onoursleevesofficial, an important children’s mental health charity helping families across America,’ Nick said.

The singer posted a link to the On Our Sleeves website where fans can make donations.

Nick also said: ‘Thank you for choosing to celebrate the impact of the life of Aaron Carter with a gift of hope. By honoring Aaron, you help Nick, Angel, and their family’s commitment of helping others.’

Carter was discovered by his housekeeper, known only as Betty, who had been living at the house for three weeks. The woman had been homeless and Carter and his on again/off-again girlfriend Melanie Martin asked to look after the home after a friend’s mansion was broken into.

Carter said in an interview in August that he had been into rehab four times and had ‘finally got it right.’ But he went back to an outpatient program the following month to address his ‘triggers.’

At the time of his death, Carter was living with Melanie Martin, the mother of Prince.

Neighbors described the relationship as tempestuous, saying they often heard the couple shouting at each other and police were called at least three times.

One neighbor told DailyMail.com that Carter often locked Martin out of the house, leaving her to bang on the door, screaming ‘let me in’.

The neighbor said that another resident knocked on Carter’s door one day and Melanie answered.

Tribute: Nick Carter wrote that his heart was broken despite their complicated relationship, adding that his love for Aaron never faded

She was asked if they could turn down the music. Melanie said she would pass along the information to Aaron. Minutes later Aaron banged on the neighbor’s door and began yelling at the neighbor, he called her a ‘c**t and a b***ch’.

Another person at the house told Aaron to leave their property. The police were called and Aaron tried to tell the police that the neighbor assaulted him. No arrests were made.

‘Every neighbor has that ‘neighbor’ you have to deal with, he was that ‘neighbor.’ the man said.

Melanie turned up at the house after news of Carter’s death was announced. She was seen sobbing and being consoled by Carter’s real estate agent Christie Limpus-Hathaway.

She issued a statement saying: ‘My fiancé Aaron Carter has passed away. I love Aaron with all my heart and it’s going to be a journey to raise a son without a father. Please respect the privacy of my family as we come to terms with the loss of someone we love greatly. We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.’

Earlier this year, Carter filed for custody of their son and a petition for protection against Martin at the Antelope Valley Courthouse in Los Angeles County.

In a court filing, he accused his ex of ’emotional distress, anguish, shoving, & scratching’, and claimed she used the threat of suicide to abuse him ’emotionally.’

Melanie, 35, was seen moving her belongings out of Carter’s house last week.

The former child star had been trying to sell the house, but it was taken off the market after his death.

Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter paid tribute to his younger brother Aaron following the news that Aaron was found dead in a bathtub at his California home a day earlier at the age of 34

Carter died without leaving a will meaning the state of will decide who will inherit his assets, it has been revealed.

It has since emerged that Carter texted Maxim model Sonya Cruz, 24, asking her to go to his house – even telling her he would pay for an Uber and drive her home himself. Those messages came hours before his death.

Cruz, who has appeared in international magazines including Harper’s Bazaar and Maxim, replied she would ‘talk tomorrow after you get up.’ She signed off on the message ‘xox’ with a heart emoji.

‘I do regret not spending more time when he would ask to,’ Cruz told DailyMail.com.

‘I just had no idea something like this would happen and and did think he would always be in my life,’ she added.

‘He was a complete angel and very kind. May he rest in peace.’

In California, the child normally inherits their single parent’s estate if they die without a will.

But sources said Carter was not in a strong financial position when he was found dead in his home on November 5.

The star had put his Lancaster home up for sale for around $800,000 in the weeks prior to his death but it has now been taken off the market.

If a sale goes ahead, Prince would likely have security in any equity it brings.
