EMMERDALE fans have been left convinced that they have uncovered the 'real reason' that father and son, Caleb and Nicky Miligan, called a truce.
ITV viewers watched on as Nicky and Caleb discussed the frightening incident in which Nicky pushed his father off a cliff.
Whilst Caleb had initially been left furious, it seemed as though he was quick to set out on a path of forgiveness in order to re-build bonds with his family.
In the hospital, authorities questioned Caleb on exactly what had happened.
In order to protect his guilty son, he went onto make up a fake version of events.
He insisted that he fell off the cliff of his own accord after being pushed by a deer and there was no foul play involved.
