Billy Ray Cyrus Confirms ‘Hannah Montana’ Prequel In The Works

Billy Ray Cyrus has confirmed that a “Hannah Montana” prequel is in the works.

Speaking with Hollywood Life, Cyrus admitted that there is currently talk of working on a prequel to the hit 2000s Disney show.

“They’re talking about doing a prequel, which to me, I would do that in a heartbeat. Because that means I get to get my mullet back,” he said.

Cyrus did not confirm whether his daughter, Miley Cyrus, will be part of the project.

“I think there’s a whole story that led up to Miley becoming Hannah Montana,” he added.

Cyrus also revealed that he wasn’t actually too interested on playing Miley’s on screen dad when the project was first pitched to him.

“They had cast me as her dad, and I said, ‘They should get a real actor. I don’t want to mess that show up. They should get a real actor to play her dad, because this is a great script and a great concept,” he said.
