Carol Vorderman, 62, leaves fans in awe after sharing video of gruelling gym workout
Carol Vorderman has left her fans in awe after she shared a revealing video of her gym routine on Instagram.
The 62 year old TV personality and former Countdown star proved she is not ready to slow down or stop exercising so much as her workouts appeared more intense than ever.
Wearing a pair of tight lycra leggings and a sweat-resistant workout top for her latest session, Carol showed off her lean figure as she lifted weights and did cardio at the gym.
The star wore her blonde locks in a loose and natural style and concentrated on achieving results on the machines.
In one clip, she did lunges and concentrated on toning her arms with hand-held weights, while in another the star did squats.
Carol did sit-ups and stretches too, all the while smiling for the camera, and even stuck her tongue out at one point.
"MONDAY GYM SESH WITH @MELDEANE12," the star captioned her post. "Boommmmmm.
"Wallop. It’s Monday. LET’S GO. Off to a meeting now in town… Best get changed!!!"
"There she goes," Countryfile presenter Julia Bradbury praised in the comments.
Another person encouraged: "Beast mode, activated!!!"
"Looking strong," third wrote, followed by: "You're fit and strong!"
Others said the star was "so impressive," while others couldn't believe how Carol manages to work out so hard at the age of 62.
"You are a machine," another follower added.
It comes as the presenter showed off her toned abs in a crop top during one of her other recent gym sessions last week, as she switched things up for a go on a red bouncing fitness ball.
Wearing sheer panelled leggings, the star joked she was back in the gym again with the "man who makes me swear and swet" – her personal trainer Mel Deane.
Outside of concentrating on her fitness routine, Carol hit back at Jeremy Clarkson's most recent newspaper column taking aim at her.
In his column in The Sun, Jeremy described Carol as "awfully shouty", titling it: "Me thinks Carol doth protest too much."
He also wrote that Carol has reinvented herself as an "anti-Tory, anti-sleaze warrior". Jeremy was referring to Carol's recent appearance at a meeting of the Women and Equalities Select Committee.
During the meeting she spoke about the needs for menopausal women, criticising the Minister for Women's Health, Maria Caulfield, for "not bothering to turn up" when she didn't attend the meeting.
"Well well. The known defender of women's rights @JeremyClarkson has a go at a woman again," she wrote. "Jeremy love, if I am disgusted at MPs fibbing & not turning up as they are meant to do, then I'll be "disgusted".
"Glad you used a nice photo tho or I might have been "mildly irritated"," she finished.
