Catherine Tyldesley says her partner Tom isnt jealous over her filming sex scenes
Coronation Street favourite Catherine Tyldesley has opened up about her relationship with husband Tom Pitfield and says he doesn’t get jealous when she films sex scenes.
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, 38, chatted about the couple’s relationship and revealed she even asks her partner for advice before filming intimate scenes.
The mum of one spoke about how “chilled” her husband is with her job to the Hot Mess Mums Club Podcast.
She said: “Most of my relationships before Tom, well in fact, all of them, ended because of my job.
“They didn’t get it, the jealousy. But Tom is so chilled.
"I remember the night before rehearsals for my sex scenes, and I said, ‘Babe, if I straddle like this, does my bum look really bad? Have I got cauliflower a*s?’
“And he’d say, ‘A little bit like that babe’.”
Tom, 34, has even been on set while his wife is filming steamy scenes which Catherine says she thinks is “good”.
She said: “In lockdown we were filming these scenes and I was shaving my legs and Tom said, ‘Bloody hell, I’ve not seen shaved legs since week one!’
“He’s been there on set when I’ve had to snog other actors. But I think that’s good.
“Tom being there means he can see how clinical it is — and not remotely sexy.”
Catherine is expecting her second child, a baby girl, with Tom in late Spring. But the pregnancy has not been easy on the actress.
A source exclusively told OK!: “Catherine is having quite a tough time with this pregnancy. It’s been a bit worrying and it’s getting her down.
"She’s had vision and sleep problems and she’s finding it hard.”
The couple already share seven year old son Alfie and she admitted on the podcast that a lot of the parenting of Alfie is falling to personal trainer husband Tom as she is struggling in this pregnancy.
She said: “He makes me cry, honest to God. I feel like Tom has more or less been solo parenting for months because I’ve found it so difficult.
“He gets up with Alfie and takes him to school most days because I just can’t function in the morning.

“Then, when Alfie gets home, nine times out of ten, Tom does his homework, Tom does the tea, Tom puts him to bed, so it’s been really difficult.
“And on the odd day that I have Alfie on my own I get the fear — I have to psych myself up for it and just pray to God that I’m having a good day.”
Catherine continued: “I said to my friend I would rather do Strictly seven times over. This is more exhausting, and I never thought I’d say that.”
