Celebs pay tribute to Mike Thalassitis a year after Love Island star’s death

A number of Love Island co-stars and friends of Mike Thalassitis have taken to show media to pay tribute on the one-year anniversary of his death.

The reality star, affectionately dubbed 'Muggy Mike' during his time on Love Island , took his own life on March 15 last year.

On her Instagram account today, his close friend Montana Brown shared a photo of Mike with the caption: "Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday."

Meanwhile, fellow co-star Jonny Mitchell also posted a message about his late friend.

Jonny wrote: "Can’t believe a whole year’s gone by since you left us bro.

"Still find it difficult to comprehend you’re not with us anymore.

"You were too good for this world! Never forgotten Magic Mike."

Love Island series one star Luis Morrison also shared his hurt at Mike's absence from his life, with an image of the pair together in happier times.

"1 year ago today since we lost you in our lives," wrote Luis. "There's not a day that goes by I don't think of you and I hope your resting in peace.

"I love you and will always miss you."

Elsewhere, The Only Way Is Essex star Mario Falcone shared an image of Mike with some kind words or remembrance for the TV personality.

Mario wrote: "1 year since we lost this gentleman. Hope you are having a blast up there bro."

Mike also filmed scenes for the romantic reality show Celebs Go Dating and an unaired season of MTV's Ex on the Beach.
